We congratulate SRO Sanchez on his promotion as Patrol Sergeant with the Brawley Police Department. Police officer Dean Beckwith will be the new SRO assigned to our school district starting Tuesday, October 10, 2017. We want to wish SRO Sanchez the best and a heartfelt thank you for all he has done for BESD. Congratulations, Sergeant Sanchez and welcome SRO Beckwith.

Congratulations to teacher Ana Ventura of Hidalgo School who was selected 2017 “Teachers of the Year” by the Brawley Chamber of Commerce.  Ms. Ventura exemplifies the personal and professional qualities that characterize outstanding teachers.   Her high level of competence in all areas as a classroom teacher, and her unwavering commitment to serve her students is unequivocally a reflection of her dedication and passion to her profession.
