NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Brawley Elementary School District Governing Board will conduct a public hearing during its regular meeting on October 10, 2023, in the District Office Board Room at 261 D Street, Brawley, at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be called, to receive comments on the adoption of Resolution No. 06 2023/24: Resolution Regarding Sufficiency of Instructional Materials. This public hearing notice complies with the 10-day public hearing notice requirement of Education Code section 60119. The Governing Board is required to hold a public hearing at which the Governing Board shall encourage participation by parents/guardians, teachers, members of the community, and bargaining unit leaders, and shall make a determination, through a resolution, as to whether each pupil in each school in the District has sufficient textbooks or instructional materials that are aligned to the academic content standards adopted for Mathematics, Science, History-Social Science, and English/Language Arts (including the English Language development component of an adopted program), that are consistent with the content and cycles of the curriculum frameworks adopted by the State Board.

La Mesa Directiva del Distrito Escolar Primario de Brawley llevará a cabo una audiencia pública durante su junta regular el 10 de octubre de 2023 en la sala de juntas de la Mesa Directiva ubicada en el 261 Calle D en Brawley comenzando a las 6:00 p.m. o tan pronto como después de tal hora el asunto pueda ser tratado para recibir comentarios en la adopción de la Resolución No. 06 2023/2024: Resolución sobre si hay suficientes materiales didácticos. Este aviso de la audiencia pública cumple con el requerimiento de darle al público 10 días de aviso sobre la audiencia que se llevará a cabo de acuerdo con el Código de Educación 60119. Se le requiere a La Mesa Directiva de llevar a cabo una audiencia pública durante en la cual la Mesa Directiva habrá de animar participación de padres de familia/tutores, maestros, miembros de la comunidad, y líderes sindicales y tomarán una determinación, a través de una resolución, en cuanto a si cada alumno del distrito escolar tiene los suficientes materiales didácticos o materiales de instrucción que estén alineados a los estándares académicos aprobados en matemáticas, ciencia, historia, idioma (incluye materiales didácticos para el desarrollo del idioma inglés) que son consistentes con el contenido, ciclo y marco curricular aprobados por la Mesa Estatal de Educación.
