BESD will be hosting a TDAP Clinic in partnership with Valley Medical Pharmacy on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 6-8PM at the Padilla-Pace Middle School MPR. Mr. Gerardo Buenrostro (Jerry), Para-educator at Barbara Worth Jr. High School, has been selected by California State Superintendent Tony Thurmond as a 2025 California Classified Employee of the Year! This prestigious recognition is awarded to only a handful of outstanding classified school employees across the state each year. Jerry has been chosen as the sole recipient of the Paraprofessional Services Award for the entire state of California. This honor reflects not only Jerry’s tireless dedication to his role, but also the powerful and lasting impact he has on our students, staff, and school community. Whether working one-on-one with students, supporting classroom teachers, or contributing behind the scenes, Jerry consistently goes above and beyond to ensure every child feels seen, supported, and capable of success.
